Welcome to my travel blog that I started to keep up with my families summer vacations. We are a family of 4 from Virginia. Mom, dad and 2 boys.

We used to stick to plain jane Myrtle Beach and Pigeon Forge for our vacations but quickly realized how boring those 2 places were and became complacent with them.

You see the same commercialized nasty things over and over every year. It just wasn't fun and exciting to see those places anymore, and I didn't want my children to grow up thinking that those places were the best they deserved when they deserve so much more.

That's why we decided to branch out and explore the world. We never realized that you could take a cruise for the same cost or cheaper than it is to go to Myrtle Beach of Pigeon Forge and a MUCH better experience.

We don’t belong to any of these “clubs” that you hear about. Yea we did our research on them and that’s exactly why we don’t join them.

No, do not solicit your club to us either, we’re not interested. We also do not deal with travel agents either. I would rather forgo the $50 OBC they give and have the freedom and flexibility to do things the way we want to do them and not have a middle man.

All of that is worth more than the $50 OBC any travel agent can provide. It’s 2021, I believe everyone knows how to use the Internet now and it’s not hard to do research and make reservations.

There have been a lot of places we have visited such as Disney World, Savannah, etc., but I did not blog about them and it’s hard to go back and write a review of something if you can’t remember all of the exact details to give tips about. So this is for travels from 2016 moving forward.

The purpose of this blog is to share with our family the travels we do and the things that we see along the way. The things we learn and the places we enjoy.

I also wanted to add some travel tips that we have found helpful so that I can share them with other people.
