Things to know first
Before I describe the packages I just want to remind you of 2 things.
- You’re allowed to take 1 bottle of wine per adult 21+ on the ship with you and each human is allowed 12 cans of soda per person. If you’re embarking in San Juan, you can drop your wine/soda off, get off of the ship and go buy more.
- You need to think about your port days. You’re going to be in port all day so you won’t be on the ship as long to utilize your drink packages. That’s something to think about.
This is the non-alcoholic package that Carnival offers. This is unlimited soda and juice for the full length of your cruise.
This cannot be purchased per day, it has to be for the entire length of your cruise. The cost is $8.50 per day for adults and $5.95 per day for kids.
One thing about Bottomless Bubbles is that there are no soda fountains. The sodas are warm cans poured over ice and you have to go to a bar to get your drinks. Yes, even the kids.
If you bring your own soda, you can put it in your fridge and keep it cold. Also, Carnival only offers Pepsi products.
This is the alcohol package that Carnival offers. This is so you can drink alcohol during your cruise and not have to worry about a bill. There are some rules to this however. Like Bottomless Bubbles, this has to be purchased for the entire duration of your cruise.
Also, EVERY ADULT 21+ in your cabin must purchase this. There are no exceptions.
The cost is $51.95 in advance per person, per day and $56.95 on board per person, per day. There is also an 18% gratuity added. All drinks must be $50 or less per serving.
This also includes frozen cocktails, sodas, juices, coffees, hot tea, milkshakes (where applicable), RockStar Energy Drinks, Powerade, Vitamin Water, Coconut Water and Honest Tea.
Any cruises departing from New York and Texas, Cheers is invalid on day 1. It is also not valid in Princess Cays and Half Moon Cay.
Beverages excluded are bottles of liquor, souvenir glasses, welcome aboard drinks, beverages ordered through room service, buckets, fresh OJ in the Havana Bar
Only 1 drink at a time may be ordered and there’s a 5 minute wait between drinks. You are limited to 15 drinks in a 24hr period.
If you are caught sharing, your Cheers will be revoked with no refunds.
Is it worth it?
Remember on port days you’re off the ship most of the day and won’t use the program.
Also remember these prices are PER PERSON
So if there is mom and dad in a room going on an 8 day cruise but mom doesn’t drink and dad does, your Cheers total would be $1,075.22 if purchased on-board.
